A Little About Genevieve Levin

Genevieve (“Nev”) Levin is a full-time henna artist practiced in the art of Mehndi for 12 years. Also a multi-media artist working with henna, paint, paper and found objects she creates imaginative, vibrant artwork. After earning her BFA from Maine College of Art, Nev spent ten years working as a potter, and during that time she also worked with people with special needs and the elderly, helping them live richer lives through art. Three years ago, Nev made the decision to pursue her dream of running her own business and is now a full-time studio artist. Her success with the two businesses, ReMarkable Blackbird and Blackbird Studios has been well worth the initial risk.

Now one of the most sought-after henna artists in New England, She brings her experience as a visual artist to Mehndi. Ms. Levin is internationally certified (ICNHA) in the art of henna and is a skilled practitioner in all styles of Mehndi including Modern, Traditional Indian, Moroccan and Indo-Aribic. For a fuller experience in body embellishment ask about two-tone, gilding and crystal accents. Nev uses special blends for working in varying situations. For pregnant bellies ask about a relaxing Lavender mix. For Weddings Nev works with a bridal blend of to give the darkest longest lasting color, Styling designs to enhance the natural radiance of each woman for her wedding day.
